About Love the Ball Soccer programs

Love the Ball is a year round soccer training company serving Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC. We offer youth soccer programs for ages 3-12 that include: after school programs, summer camps, Winter Indoor Training, Goalkeeper Training, Team Training,  & Private & Small Group Training.

Love the Ball soccer programs create a fun and educational environment for children to play the game of soccer; to feel it, live it and love it.

We believe that children miss out on the enjoyment of sports or drop out early because they never learned to love it or somewhere along the line they stopped enjoying it. Love the Ball is here to ignite a passion in all of its’ players through the beautiful game of soccer. We believe in building a strong foundation that emphasizes enjoyment, fun and love of the game.

Our developmental youth programs & classes are designed to improve children’s coordination, balance and gross motor skills with a soccer ball.

We also place a large emphasis on social interaction, team play and character development. One thing is for sure, our players Love the Ball.

OUR COACHES

Coach Oli

My name is Oliver Freeman and I am 24 years old. I am from London, England where I started my career playing in my back yard with my three uncles who were all older than me and very good at soccer. At elementary school and middle school I represented my local cup team, as well as my school.  In high school I was invited to play for the Fulham Football Club Junior Academy. The Fulham FC is in the EPL (English Premier League) and I received a very high level of coaching, as well as being surrounded by some of the best players in South West London.

In the UK, I coached for the Chelsea FC, who has one of the most advanced training facilities in Europe. I coached players at community sessions, Holiday camps and advanced centers, which are by invite only to the best players in the region.

My coaching philosophy is based on 3 key components. They are as follows…. Fun, Fun and Fun!!! I played this game when I was younger because I found it fun, I coach it for the same reason and I love to coach players who feel the same. I believe that with hard work, teamwork and desire to play, learn & respect the game, it can be even more enjoyable.
